Epic 40,000 Space Marines

The Thunderhawk Transporter is used to land Space Marine heavy equipment in the wake of a devastating Drop Pod assault - Land Raiders and Rhinos are often required to reinforce the infantry wave that spearheads an Astartes operation, and the heavy lifting clamps of the Thunderhawk Transporter can carry these armoured vehicles with ease.

Note that this is not a Warhammer 40,000 scale model - it is roughly 1/10 the size of the full size Thunderhawk Transporter.

The Thunderhawk Gunship is one of the cornerstones of the legendary mobility of the Adeptus Astartes. A compact, powerful super-heavy aircraft, it can launch devastating attack runs, pulverising the enemy with its firepower, before unleashing a rain of deadly Space Marine assault troops directly on top of the shell-shocked survivors.
