The Thunderbolt is the main fighter aircraft of the Imperium. While less manoeuvrable than the Lightning, it boasts heavier armour, a greater fuel capacity and can mount heavier armaments. Like the Marauder it is capable of both atmospheric and void combat, and can be configured for a wide range of missions from close fighter support of ground forces to light bombing sorties.

Full rules for using the Thunderbolt in games of Apocalypse can be found in Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000 Apocalypse. This is a complete multi-part resin kit, includes plastic flying base. Master model by Will Hayes, pilot sculpted by Mark Bedford.
