Orks

Orks are the most widespread and warlike race of aliens in the bloodstained galaxy of the 41st millennium. In terms of sheer numbers and planets, Orks occupy more of the galaxy than any other single race and were they unified they would soon crush all opposition. However, the Ork's passion for violence is so unquenchable that they spend most of their time warring amongst themselves.

The brute and savage Ork race infests the galaxy like a plague. Mankind has fought against this greenskinned scourge since the very first steps taken out into the stars. An entire civilisation that thrives upon conflict and war, the Ork race is divided into many different (and fractious) tribes, klans and hordes. Each fight amongst themselves for the most part, but occasionally a particularly strong warboss will unite his lesser kind into a Waaagh!; an all but unstoppable tide of brutal violence.

The Ork caste known as Mekaniaks, or Meks, form the brute genius that supplies a warband, horde or Waaagh! with their war materiel. Most of their creations are temperamental in the extreme, yet undeniably effective on the field of battle. From scrap Fighta-Bommas to the terrifying behemoths known as Kill Krushas, each Mek vies with his fellows to produce ever more fiendish war machines and to nail, bolt or weld ‘moar dakka’ to their creations in the form of additional guns, or esoteric energy weapons.
