olkite' is an arcane Mechanicum term referring to a variety of thermal ray weapons of ancient Martian provenance which have a devastating effect on flesh and bone. The volkite charger is the most compact form of volkite weaponry employed by infantry units, only the pistol sized serpent is smaller. Whilst not benefiting from the range or power of its larger cousins, the charger retains the volkite beams deflagrating effects and allows its wielder a greater degree of movement. Volkite chargers are often employed by Legion Tactical Support squads.
